In a world of ever-changing technology especially electronics it never ceases to amaze me what can be done in this day and age. Not so many years ago mobile phones were as big as house bricks and now they can easily fit into the hand of a child. I have to say mobile phones have come a long way, with built-in cameras, touchscreens, internet browsers,  unlimited music downloads and connecting to social networks they have become part of our everyday life, it is incredible how much things have improved. Could we have ever imagined technology like this a few years ago?

This brings me on to games consoles, we have come a long way from the old Atari with the black and white space invaders shuffling across the screen to something I came across a couple of days ago, the Playstation Vita by Sony. This is their latest handheld console with an OLED touchscreen, twin analogue stick, D pad internet browser and camera just to mention a few things. As for the graphics on today’s games consoles they are amazing, it is almost like you are there inside the game. Mobile phones, computers how would we live without them today? I also heard recently of another tablet style console that may be launched by the end of the year called Project Fiona, which is said will be able to run Windows 8 and have an Intel i7 processor, something which we would have probably laughed at not so many years ago. Yes we have come a long way from the old Atari.

I believe there are a lot more exciting things to look forward to in the future.  I hope we can use them well. I think we can all say life without our electronic friends would be a lot harder now we are used to them. Where would we be without our washing machine, tumble dryerPsychology Articles, computer and television? In fact everyday life revolves around our electronic gadgets. Who can say maybe one day we may not be able to live without them at all! Yes everyone the electronic age is well and truly part of our lives today and many years to come. So next time you watch a film were machines are taking over the world have a little think it may not be that far away. For all up to date electronics check out the author’s website.
