About 3000 to 5000 years ago in ancient Egypt signs of jewellery were discovered. 4000 years ago making of jewellery was becoming common in two cities in Ancient Middle East Sumer and Akkad. Around 1600 BC in Greece the Greeks made jewellery with gems, gold, silver, ivory, bronze and clay. About 5000 years ago jewellery making was started in Central America and South America. The jewellery mostly made there was off gold, jade, turquoise, copper decorated with feathers. In Asia Subcontinent have a long history of jewellery which is more than 5000 years. If we see market share of jewellery around the world then we see that according to a report by KPMG the largest share in jewellery market is of United States of America which is 30.8%. Japan, ChinaComputer Technology Articles, Middle East and India have 8-9% share in jewellery market respectively. Italy have 5% share in jewellery market.
